My Boss, My Love, My Baby

Let’s talk about my new boss.

I have to start by saying I love her, but she is so demanding, doesn’t really know what she wants, and needs help with everything including going to the restroom.

Last week was my first week on the job; so I’m still getting the hang of everything. Of course she expects me to just understand how it works right away, plus she has VERY high expectations.

If I don’t do something right, she’ll mess it up so I have to redo it. This includes, picking up her toys, folding laundry, even feeding the animals.

I get no breaks; she even follows me into the bathroom and stares until I’m done. I guess it ensures I don’t linger, but I just find it creepy.

She’ll ask me to read to her and is perfectly happy, then she takes the book, throws it, and gives me something else to read.

Actually she switches moods frequently, cries on the floor often, for no apparent reason, and hates everything I feed her.

She is the youngest most demanding boss I’ve ever had, who also doesn’t pay me at all. But I wouldn’t trade raising this beautiful 16 month old daughter of mine for any paying job ever.

If you haven’t guessed by now, I am officially a stay at home mom, also know as a SAHM. Let’s just say, wine and coffee were invented for us.

Cheers.

  1. This is a great take on staying at home. Don’t forget to make a quiet time rule even when she is no longer napping. We had 2 hours of peaceful bliss every afternoon from 2-4 for my sanity alone! Good luck with it all!

  2. My 3 year old is totally not the boss of me. I’m totally not replying to this blog post while holding her Paw Patrol cup full of gummy snacks and holding one leg up in the air because she thinks its funny to sit underneath it. Send help. I don’t have a boss, I have a tyrant.
